If you send a letter to a debtor telling them to only contact you between specific hours, on specific days, do they have to abide by your request?
If yes, what action can be taken if they continue to call you at all hours?

Gail,
I see a reference in this article for ceasing telephone communication completely. What if a person wants to avoid being called at work? Shouldn't they just be able to write a letter to the creditor telling them when it is "inconvenient" to contact them?

"However, a debt collector may not contact you at inconvenient times or places, such as before 8 a.m. or after 9 p.m., unless you agree."
