Feb 30 court date

I was issued an ticket for failure to control speed a few weeks ago in Texas. On the ticket it set a date of Feb 30th to appear in court for arraignment. I didn't notice this mistake until last night (2-28) because I hadn't looked at the ticket in a while and was thinking that I was supposed to be i court on Mar 1. I spoke to a family friend who is somewhat knowlegable in legal matters, and he said that the worst that could happen is that the court issues a warrant for failure to appear in court on Feb 30, then when the court deals with the matter of the warrant it'll all get thrown out of court becasue that date doesn't exist. Anyone have any thoughts about this?

My suggestion would be to take the ticket down to the clerk of court and set a new court date. Try to go ahead and talk to the judge and do traffic school or a deferment.
