I have the unfortune of working in a department with a manager who has anger management issues. After a verbal argument with him sometime ago we don't speak to one another. So far as work is concerned I deal with my Supervisor and the main boss. However an undercurrent of hostility is still there. Apparently he has had recorded altercations with other staff members. And only recently I along other staff members have witnesssed him "throwing" binders into waste bin. My fear is that this person will become violent. I am angry with the company I work for because they condone this activity by keeping him around...they simply will not dicipline him. His presense causes me alot of stress and want to know are there any legal remedies I along with other victims can take? What type of lawyer do I need see in this case. Please let me know.

There is nothing you or any lawyer can do to force an employer to fire someone because of what he MIGHT do in the future.

Unless you have access to his personnel file, you do not know what action the employer has taken. The fact that they have not made any discipline public does not mean it has not been taken.
