Fight The Ticket/Deffer the ticket

I recently recieved a $173 ticket for doing 53 in a 35 in Clark County, Washington (being paced by an officer). I am not as much concerned with the ticket as I am with the repurcussions it would have on my insurance.

I have consulted some legal advice which have said that I could almost guarentee the charges getting dropped for $150, this I am reluctant to believe. I also have the choice of fighting the ticket myself.

Another option that has been brought to my attention is deffering a ticket. This sounds like the best option to me. If I was to deffer a ticket, how would I go about it and would it cost me any extra? Would I still have to go to court?

Thanks

Washington State Speeding Ticket

No attorney can guarantee that they can beat your speeding ticket in court. In Washington State the officer does not have to appear in court and your chances of having the ticket dismissed are slim. There are some technical issues peculiar to Washington State that the attorney may be trying to use or he may know the court.

My advice would be to take the deferment. Call the clerk of court and find out the procedure.
