Final Judgment

I received a Final Judgment on an account that has been sold three times over. I believe this lawsuit may be out of the four year Statue Of Limitations and I believe I can find documentation to prove this. If that being the case, would this be something worth filing a notice of appeal? If so, can I file a notice of appeal by myself or would you suggest that I hire an attorney? Also, In the final judgment it states that I have 45 days from the date of the final judgment to either satisfy this debt or appeal. When I spoke to the appeals office in my County here in Florida they said that I only have 30 days to file this appeal. So, I am a bit confused by this. How could the paper say one thing and the appeals office say another and tell me 30 days is by law? Now, do you think if I filed a notice of appeal and show up in court this time that the judge maybe a little compassionate that the reason I didn't attend the court date the first time is because I was attending my brother-in-laws funeral?

If you did not raise the statute of limitations defense at trial, then you have given up that defense.
