My son and his girlfriend are having a child, he knows he is financially responsible for child support, but is he responsible to pay for the hospital bills and Dr. appointments she has no medical insurance, also if they get married is he responsible for her student loans , charges and car payments.

Until paternity is established he should have no obligation to help pay for her medical but stranger things have happened. It depends on the state. Is she on state insurance-medicaid-or something similar now? If they marry he should not be responsible for any debt BEFORE the marriage. As a rule of thumb though, if this woman has bad debt or a ton of it, he should be cautiious and keep their finances seperate. If she does have bad credit and does not care about her bad credit history, she will not care about his either. That is just how it works.
