My soon to be wife's soon to be ex husband did somehting stupid and got fined 500 dollars, they are both on disabilty benefit, im in the UK and she is in CA, USA, the court has asked for her to give over 3 months of phone bills, i have on occasion asked her to call me, we have talked for hours on the phone, and i out of a sense of responsibility have sent her the money for the phone bills, she didnt ask for it but i sent it, she thinks she is going to prison for this, please could someone advise me what might happen?
