Work for a accounting firm and recently had employees fill out a company survey for continious improvement. One department in particular filled out the surveys and put truthful info about upper management. This upset the CEO and now they have all been fired for this and was told they had to reapply to get jobs back. Is this legal and do they have a case?

Contrary to popular urban legend and mythical belief, an employer doesn't need a reason to fire an at will employee.

That employer need not even tell you why you are being fired or dismissed.

They can simply say, your services are no longer required.

Please, turn in your nameplate, ID badge, and keys.

No, they don't have a case.

No, this isn't illegal.
