I was curious because someone told me to get some advice.
My shop manager was hired on say 6 months ago give or take. Moved here from illinois. Then a "buddy" of his moved here also and became a supervisor. Then another "friend" came to work with us also. I have been with the company for 2 years now. Gone from bottom of the barrel and worked up good within the company yet his friends started off at a higher pay and have more authority. My girlfriend became friends with his wife and after getting into an arguement she stayed with the plant manager's wife for a little while. Now at work all he does is talk bad about her and pokes fun at the situation in front of all the other workers and got everybody else involved. Now that things are slow, me and another guy in the same position are being told by numerous people that he plans to fire us and he is keeping on his friends that have been there for 6 months or so. Over two years i've been written up once i think for being late. No problems whatsoever. The two "buddies" are late every day or dont even come in. Even at times when everybody know's, there has been no consequence. The one that is a supervisor is salary so it's hard i'm sure to see records of him being late, but his other friend uses the time clock.
Long story short. He favor's his friends over everybody and makes fun of me constantly. Also, I got my friend a job about 3 months ago, turnes out he smokes drugs. The plant manager, the two friends and the one of mine all do and its like a secret family within the company and they all look out for eachother. Drug tests and all !
Nothing has happend yet but may this up coming week from what has been said. Me and a guy from work were just looking for some insight because if this is the case, in the end it doesnt seem right or justified when me and the other guy bend over backwards for the company. Then his friends walk in and do whatever they want.
