fired, why?

I`ve been employed by a major drugstore chain since Feb. 2008 as an Assistant Manager. Before I was hired, the District Manager(D.M.) and I sat down to talk about my criminal past and my not working on Sundays because of Church. And he agreed that it would be very rare if any. Well needless to say, Sundays became a problem. However about amonth ago, i was given Sundays off. also at that time, they said they lost my Employment Application and needed me to fill out another one, so I did. I did it the same way I did the first one.(did not lie). Last Fri. I was suspended and told to go to Corp. office on Mon. @ 10am. When I did, they said they did ont have a backgroung check on fill for me. And they said I would be suspended without pay until it comes back. Now it seems that I`ve been fired, because when poeple call the store for me that is what they are told. And I didnot get my direct deposit for my time put in or Vacation time.
