I'm 24 years old, I need help trying to find out what to do about my case. I went to the mall to return shoes that I bought the week before because there was something wrong with them, but they didnt let me return the shoes, I took back the shoes put them in my car and I grab the empty box of shoes and I went to another name store and I lifted $195 in merchangise and I got caught. I have court in about a month and I dont know what to do. this is my first time and I dont have a criminal record, I am a college student about to graduate. I am embarrased for I have done and I want to fix it. I cant afford a Lawyer what can I do, and what can possible happen if I dont have a lawyer the day of the court day. This happened in OKC

So not to confuse others I moved your question to its own topic. You need to start calling lawyers, many offer free consultations. When you meet with these lawyers ask them about Diversion. This would be your best outcome outside of aquittal

what would happen in worst scenario? any idea. do you know of any Anty Theft Programs in OKC that I can attend.
