Hi,

I am 24 years old and a student. The other night some friends and I were having some drinks at the on campus apartments. I live off campus and I didnt want to drive home, I wasnt drunk but I wasnt sober either. I just decided to crash at my friends apartment on campus. I proceded to lay down and sleep, however, all of a sudden my chest felt like it had an anvil on it and I started wheezing like crazy. I have had asmha all my life and whenever I get an attack it cant be helped I must get my inhaler. At this point my friends were asleep and shouldnt drive anyway. So, I decided to just walk to my house which was about 3 miles away. I got a good ways from the school and about a mile in to the walk I got pulled over and was told immediately to put my hands on the hood. I was asked the questions of where I lived, where I was going, and if I had had anything to drink. I answered honestly to all of them with heavy emphasis on me needing to get to my house for medicine. At that point the officer had me follow an object with my eyes and then cuffed me and took me to the station, he never read me any rights (Im not sure if he was supposed to?). I told him more than once that I needed my inhaler to which he only ignored me and then he asked me questions for the report. At this point I was constantly coughing and taking in heavy breathes which continued as he left me in the cell alone. About 4 hours later they released me and an officer took me to my house. I have a court date in about a week and I have no idea how I should plead or what I should say. Help would be greatly appriciated. Thanks!

Can't suggest to you how to plead without knowing what you were charged with.
