Looking for legal help and advice for a class b misdemeanor of shoplifting that is exactly $80 of stolen merchandise. I have never been arrested and have a clean record. I am pleading guilty of the charge since I there is hard evidence of the act. I just want to know what the possibilities of me getting any jail time.im a stay at home mother of 2 children (1 yo and 6 yo) And im 22 years old.

I am a retail theft consultant and talk to people like you everyday and I can safely tell you that walking in and pleading guilty is worst thing you can do. What you need to do is either higher a Lawyer or request public defender when you meet with this Lawyer ask if ACD or Diversion is available in your case. If so these programs generally help protect your clean record

Agree, do not plead guilty. You need to talk to a lawyer & talk only to the lawyer. The lawyer will go over your options with you.
