When my apartment got flooded by a broken pipe my manager left a shop vac out side my door and left. The carpet wasn't even looked at. I Was left to do it myself. I had to let it dry on it's own due to being sick, diabetes. I wasn't asked if I needed help. No one asked about the carpet afterwards. My carpet took a long time to dry. Apartment stunk bad for what seemed like forever. What should I do now that I'm feeling better. Who is responsible for drying it. And what steps should of been taken in this matter.

You were provided with the tools to clean up; the landlord is not more liable than usual just because you were sick.

Besides that, how were you damaged?

Your illness is not the apartment manager's problem.

You could do what many people do, HIRE someone or an agency to do the cleanup.

There's no requirement for the manager to clean up your mess.

If you believe otherwise, sue her, but don't expect much, you have no case.
