foreign object in chex mix

On the 4th of July, I had to work and my husband was off. He loves Chex Mix Popped, so I had bought him a couple of bags on the 3rd of July. When I got home from work, He got up and showed me how he almost choked to death. There was a yellow piece of plastic in the bag, and as he reached in and popped the scoop into his mouth and started to choke on something caught in his throat. He finally got it out but almost choked to death. He saved the piece of plastic and the empty bag. I'm wondering what I am supposed to contact. This was very scary and upsetting. I have pictures of everything. Thank you

Almost doesn't count.

He was able to remove the item with no injury.

The best you can hope for is to take the bag and the item back to the store and they'll will give you a replacement.

If you want to call the company that makes the product, they'll probably send you some coupons.

Other than that, you have no claim for money because there was no injury.

Agree, you have no monetary damages. You generally get a new bag or two & probably some coupons. That's about it.

You contact the store where you bought the product & maker of the product if you want to.
