My ex-wife forged my signature on a check for $13K from our homeowner insurance company. I got a copy of the check. What recourse do I have? How do I file a criminal complaint?
We have been divorced 3 years. Per our divorce agreement, she is residing in a house we still own together. I am the primary on the mortgage, she is the secondary. The check was made out to myself AND her. The check was not cashed but rather deposited in our escrow account with the mortgage co. Later the mortgage company issued us a check.
I am still waiting for a copy of that check from the mortgage company, again made out to BOTH of us, which I I am sure also has my forged signature.
