My former employer sends a letter to my current employer from his attorney. Called a cease and desist letter where he accuses me of stealing business and contacting his district office and Turning him in for violations. All these allegations are false. Now my current employer could or might have a different impression of my character. What can I do?

Can you prove the allegations are false? What has your current employer said or did because of this letter?

What you can do depends on what action your current employer takes. It will take more than, "maybe he might think differently of me" to support a lawsuit.

So, what action has he taken? Did you get fired? Demoted? Have responsibilities taken away?
