Back in 2009, Vermont had an article in the newspaper that they found dna to a robbery. It's 2013, why have they not done any thing? Living in florida and was incarcerated but didn't have a detainer on me. My daughter lives in vermont & would like to visit her but, afraid there would be trouble. What can I do? Also how can I find out of a warrant, free of charge?

Call the sheriff department in the county where you want to go. They should tell you if there are any warrants.
Don't worry about the dna. It does them no good unless they have a sample to match it to, plus it is expensive.

Why is this under shoplifting? Anyways the statute of limitations for a felony is far longer than misdemeanor and burglary is a felony. As previously stated DNA does Police no good without a sample to match it to

Afraid to call the sheriff dept. don't wanna open a can of worms. Do you know of anything else I could do?

Have your daughter visit YOU in Florida, or YOU meet her somewhere in the middle.
