I signed a contract for a new car but I did not get them any money only my trade in car. The car price was listed as 19,000 but the sales man raised the amount to 21000. the final price was 23000. They did not explain the contact to me and the guy even left the office while I was signing. My frist language is Spanish and sometimes is hard for me to understand. The nex day the financial office called me because I have a fraud alert on my credit and I said I will not buy the car so they did not ask more questions. I called the sales man but he just said I can go there and he will explain the contract. I email the manager saying I will report them but not answer yet. I wonder if at least I can get a lower price for the car if they do not want to break the contract. Also, could they approve the loan if they did not confirm my identity because of the fraude alert?

It appears you signed whatever contract was placed in front of you. As English is the language of the US and you did not bring an interpreter , you are stuck with the language of your contract.

Okay, I'll try to help.

Never sign anything unless you understand it.
Your signature represents that you read, acknowledge, and agree to all the terms in the contract.
You knew your English kills weren't perfect.
You should have said to the salesperson, "I don't understand. No hablo ingles!"
Or, you could have started speaking in Spanish, and they would have immediately gotten a Spanish speaking salesperson to intervene.
I think you're safe, because the fraud alert popped up on the person's credit you tried to use.
You see, if that was your credit you were attempting to obtain finance under, you'd have known that was about to occur.

All you can do is hope that the dealer moves on and doesn't try to play JUNIOR G-MAN and investigate all of this. It might be time to lay low.

I think you misunderstood...I was using my own credit. I have a fraud alert

Yes, that's what you said. I think you think I misunderstood.
At any rate, that's the least important point of my post.
Hey, your English suddenly got much better, today.
