My mom put a phone bill in my name without my knowledge. I received a call from collections today asking for 175 dollars. That may not be ALOT of money, but I really don't like the idea of people being able forge my information like that. Since my mom is putting bills in my name...she's obviously broke, and I probably won't ever see the money again......would I be able to take the phone company to court for allowing this happen in the first place? Or would I just be wasting my time?

The same thing also happened with my "baby's momma" and a 1000 dollar toys r us purchase (200 of which was just in shipping).

Nope. The phone company is not blame as much as your mother is. Tell the phone company on your mom and let them know the phone is not yours. They might ask for a police report number. if so, then you have a tough choice - dime off mom or suck up the bill.

If your "baby's momma" is also forging your name on accounts, call the police.

If you do not want to get the police involved, perhaps you had best budget for paying off debt.
