My friend 4-5 months ago was evicted and begged me to store his stuff in my garage..i agreed but ONLY for 30 days, no contract just verbal. AFTER the 30 days i told him he need to get his stuff multiple times...he didnt...3 months AFTER that 30 days he sent a text, which i should have kept, stating" Bro you can have WHATEVR you WANT" and i will help you throw the rest out. Knowing hes not a man of his word from previous attempts to get him to get his stuff i started getting rid of it. Some things were sold, given away...and NOW 4 months later hes threatening to call the cops and sue me..what should i do? what can i do? PLEASE i need help.

His memory fails him, yours can fail you.

What stuff, bro????

You never put any stuff in my garage.

I don't know what the heck you're saying, bro!!!

No sir, you never put anything in my garage, not one thing!

wish it were that easy...his father knows it was in there....and also knew he had 30 days to get it out...he was given many chances after those 30 days and still did nothing...once he sent me the text saying i could have whatever i wanted...i got rid of his stuff...i didnt want it there i was trying to help a friend out and he took advantage of me....not sure what legal rights he or I have??

It is THAT easy, BUT if you want to complicate your life; start reading at this link.

Click on ABP (Abandoned Property) and you'll have to work with the state comptroller's office.

The problem for you is that YOU no longer have his crap.

Watch what happens IF you let him make up the rules of this game!!!!

He'll claim his useless, dilapidated, junk is suddenly NEW stuff and worth about $5,000, maybe $10,000.

Get ready to get sued!!!!
