Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Friend's Pre-trial diversion termination?

I have a friend who has a Class B Misdemeanor for theft and was on the pre-trial program but didn't do his theft courses because he didn't have money. Now that he's been kicked off the program what will happen to him? Is he going to have to go to jail?

Well the depends on many things one being your unnamed states laws. Your friend has two problems here one is he violated probation. That alone could get him 30 days. His second problem, maybe bigger one, is he lost Diversion. This means he will have a conviction on his record that will follow him for life. He needs to talk to his Attorney about what options might still be available to him
