Hi. Can a fugitive from justice in California visit, rendevous, or pleasantly surprise their spouse and child in a neutral location, without fear of the spouse getting in trouble by the law or the law taking the child away from the spouse? Thank you.

Uh ... no.

It is against the law to aid a fugitive in any way. If the law finds out that he was was there, the spouse can be charged with a crime and CPS could get involved. The friends and family of a fugitive do not get a free pass to assist or comfort him.

Criminals on the run are the worst type of criminals, they are risking freedom with every step they take and are only proving to you and your child that running and not facing your faults is the right thing to do. So yes if you get caught with him DCFS will get involved due to the fact that you are indangering your child and you could very well also be charge with neglect....Think about it first!!!!
