Gaming Clan Seeks Info

Hi,
Recently,myself and serveral elders of a gaming clan,which we all paid for,
ran into some issues with our admin.As a last resort we all voted to impeach him and keep our clan running under the same name,he locked us out from our forum,we decided to start a new forum,which we all ran as a group,we decided as a group to keep our name,since we all voted on it a few years ago,we also bought a domain name for said clan,also we are in the process of getting a trade mark and copyright for the clan name and logo.The old admin has tried to hack our servers and forum,which got him banned from everything,now he's threatening a lawsuit against us for internet thief and stealing HIS clan and NAME,Is there any grounds for his actions and should we be concerned about a lawsuit???

Anyone can sue for any reason.

Is he /really/ going to spend seveal thousand dollars on a lawyer to sue you? I doubt it. What would he sue you for? Do you sell clan merchandice? Any sort of cash exchanges at all? He would have to show damages which the court can provide relief of. Taking one's friends away isn't something a court can fix.

Granted, I'm not a lawyer, but likely you can tell this guy to go pound sand.

Thank you for replying,no merchandise has been sold,
the only cash exchanged was us all contributing cash to pay for the forum yearly,he's mad because we left and kept our clan name,I really don't know if he has the cash to go through a court battle,he does however,keep threatening a suit thru emails and on his forum...
