Hello, and thank you for your time,

I have a situation with my employer, and need assistance in determining if I have a ligitimate claim.

Heres the situation;

My employer policy is to award $100 per month, per certificate level, there are 3 certificate categories, as well as 4 levels to each.

My co-worker (female)and I (male) recieved a pay increase, the increase was due to certification advancement, we both hold all 3 categories in class 2. We both participated in the same exam session, and we both passed the same exams.

Upon reciveing passing exam scores, for 2 out of the 3 class 3 exams, we were both awarded a pay increase, as I stated above $100 per month, per certificate, no issues. It has been brought to my attention that my co-worker recieved an additional $100 per month per certification. I have verified this through management.

My question is, do I have a legitimate claim??

No HR department, the board of directors has total control, of the 5, the president, and treasurer are both women.

The manager claims that is for seniority, but we are given a raise every year for seniority; on the anniversary of our hire date.

I have questioned the board of directors, still waiting on a reply.

You would have to show that the ONLY reason you got less than the other employee was BECAUSE you were female. Not saying it's not possible, but it's not easy, either.
