4 years ago, I loaned $1500 to a friend of mine that was supposedly going through a divorce. There were many verbal statements from my friend saying that she was going to pay back the money to me in installments. I sent quite a few emails, and called her many times but never recieved one dime in return. I have paperwork proving that I loaned her the money. I also have copies of phone records proving that I called her on several occasions, and I also have copies of all the emails that I sent. Do I have a case? Is this even worth taking to court to get my money back? I'm not exactly sure where she currently lives but I am pretty sure she is in the same area.

Sounds like you have an arguable case, sounds like its worth pursuing. You have nothing to lose by filing in small claims court, anyways. If you can track her down, sue her in small claims for the amount plus whatever interest you agreed on (or your state laws allow).
