I was recently charged with a felony which I am fighting to the fullest extent of the law possible. I received a call today from an HR representative at my employer saying that they had received a letter from the alleged victim regarding this matter and now I have to meet with them and discuss this in the morning. Is that legal and do I have any legal recourse to this action?

It really depends on what was said in the letter and the effect that it has on your employment.
If it ends up having a negative result then you should take a copy of the letter to an attorney and find out if you have a reasonable complaint.

You might wish to have your lawyer attend the meeting?

You at least want to inform your lawyer about the letter and the meeting?

Yes I have contacted him and he does know. We just keep playing phone tag so I was trying to see if anyone had any ideas in the mean time.
