Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft Got caught shoplifting for the first time at frys electronic

Well long story short, i got caught shoplifting a $60 game with my cousin. We both opened the box at seperate times and took a picture of the cdkey that would allow us to play the game for free. We go caught and they have us on video and everything. I am 17 and live in California. My question is
1. Is it a good idea to be honest and say that i know i did something wrong and all of that?
2. Will this effect me when i try to apply for jobs?
3. How can i get my record sealed or possibly erased?
4. If i be honest with everything i say and i show that i have changed overtime, will they be leniant with my punishment?

Ohhh and one other question
5. Since i got caught shoplifting, will they be obligated to monitor what i do like what websites i go and what i download or is that a whole different situation?

1. Its a good idea not to say a word until you have spoken with an Attorney
2. If convicted yes which is why you should talk to an Attorney when you do ask about diversion as plea option
3. Diversion is likely your best option
4. Just how did you plan to show them you changed?
5. No one is going to monitor your internet actions
