My friend and I were caught steal 6.38 worth of food today from Walmart, and were giving a citation to court. I was wanting to know what might possibly happen when I go?

I am a Retail Theft consultant and answer questions like yours daily. Its not what can happen but what you can make happen. Talk to an Attorney and ask what defense and plea options you have. If not mentioned ask about ACD or Diversion as plea options

You'll be very pleased at what doesn't happen to you, Rissa.
Plead not guilty, ask for a public defender, and don't discuss any aspect of this case with anyone but your lawyer.
Behave yourself, and you'll end up paying the court some money, do a class on not stealing, community service hours, some time on probation, and the nightmare will end.
