Only send money to people you KNOW well.

If in doubt, don't do it.

Hang up and block the scammer's number.

My elderly neighbor told one would be scammer claiming to be her grandson ISO bail that, "Well, you probably did something very bad. And I hope that they keep you locked up for a very long time."
