Other Green Card Issue green card application

i am thinking of applying for bankruptcy if everything else fails but my
question is will it affect me in the future if i am applying for green card?
right now i have a H1 visa. if i declare bankruptcy will i still be able to
apply for green card?

Ask the immigration folks how this works.

I have heard (but do not know) that bankruptcy does not help in your situation.
