When I was about one year old my mother left me to live with my dad and his mother. She took my three older sisters with her to Alabama and pretty much had nothing to do with me from then on. I lived with my grandmother who was really no relation to me at all. I thought the man my mother left me with was my father but when he got remarried when I was about fourteen my mother told me that he was not my father. The man that signed my birth certificate also was not my father. So, I lived with my step dads mother who was in her eighties. My grandmother never tried to get any kind of support from my mother because she was afraid that she would take me back and my life would be even more worse. So we certainly did without many necessities....food, clothes, etc. I am now 20 years old and I found my biological father about six months ago. The first time I talked to him on the phone he said he knew about me and then proceeded within the next week to get a paternity test. He got me a job and things were pretty good. Well last week he fired me for reasons that were not worth getting fired for. So, I took that as him not wanting to be in my life after fighting back and forth and him telling me he does not feel guilty about anything that happened to me in the past. Blah Blah. So, the phone that he bought me the day after he met me, he has just turned off. So, I know this is a lot of rambling and does not make much sense.... it doesnt make much to me either. So, as I am now twenty, my question is, does my grandmother or I have any legal recourse to take out on either of my parents?

No. You are entitled to nothing and you do not even know who your real bio dad is anyways. The man who signed your birth cert is your legal father and child support should have been filed against him. Now it is much too late to file anything. If you want to find out who your Dad is for health or curiosuty reasons then proceed with the DNA test but you cannot get any financial compensation out of him.
