My father named me beneficiary on annuities a few years before he wrote his last will. He mentioned my 2 brothers in this will, but not me because I had annuities. The annuities were valued much higher than what my brothers were to get.
I later became my father's legal (full) guardian , health and estate.
After 13 or 14 years in and out of skilled care facilities, I spent equally between my brothers and me, with my portion coming from annuities. I eventually spent only annuity money for his care in the last 2 years, because everything else was spent.
After his recent death, there was annuity money left for me, but the probate estate will show nothing. My brothers are aware of this, and are very upset. I think I did nothing wrong. There were guardian accounting hearings every 2 years, and the judge signed off on all of them (Maybe my brothers thought I should have spent more of the annuity money, regardless).
Can my brothers get part of what's left of my annuities?
