Hi Everyone,

I have a one year gym membership that I would like to cancel. It is like jumping thru hoops to cancel this membership. First of all, if you talk to the people at the gym, they say they cannot give out corporate contact info. They cannot give a cancellation form and i have to get the form from the website. The form is not available on the website though. I have to contact them (only through email) to get the form. Then I'm subject to "a couple of weeks" before my membership if cancelled.

Is there some law that says they have to cancel my account within a certain amount of time? Can I fill out the cancellation form and then ask my credit card company to block future charges?

please advise.

thanks so much!

I'd report the debt to the credit card company and have the charges stopped.

The write a letter to corporate and local telling them that effective on whatever date you choose, you cancel your membership.

You don't need a form.

Tell them to not charge anything more to your account.

Send a copy of this letter to the credit card company, corporate, and local gym.

Send it certified mail, return receipt.

Keep all records and then pray.

The form is another way for them to stall.

The letter of cancellation you author serves the same purpose.

There is no law for every human dispute.

You wouldn't want to live in that type of world.

Just use common sense and don't ever sign up for this type of crooked garbage scam again.

Then pray!!!!
