Harassed by President of Company!

I have been a top-notch Executive Assistant for 33 years, working for very important Presidents and CEOs, including 5 Presidents at my current company during the past 12 years. The current President was promoted thru the ranks from salesman to sales mgr, to VP of sales, and then President. I knew he was a difficult man to deal with, but after only 3 months of working for him, my physician had me on medication for anxiety and depression. No matter how hard I tried to please my boss, nothing was ever good enough. He would berate me for missing important phone calls to the point where I had to start asking him if I could leave my desk to go to the bathroom. He would come out to my desk and belch out loud and then touch his crotch and rearrange his private parts at eye level in my face! This would go on day after day to demean, demoralize, and humiliate me. He took pleasure in lying about my skills and performance during personnel reviews. He put me on 6 months of probation for the one and only minor argument I had with him. This past June, he told me that "I didn't listen to him" like I was his 6-year old daughter. He told me he was DONE with me. The HR Director was there and offered me a severance package or a job working for him as the new company recruiter (which of course I accepted). The President proceeded to parade women past my desk - interviewing them for my position. He had successful destroyed my self-confidence and self-worth. He hired a temp from an agency for 4 months and never gave her anything to do. Now the Executive Assistant position is vacant. He no longer feels that he needs an assistant, after he put me through the most hostile work environment for 3-1/2 years. Since our company is currently under a hiring freeze, and I have no recruiting responsibilities at this time, I am now the company receptionist. I was hired to work for the President, and I want my job back and some respect from this bully and egotistical man. His constant lewd gestures of rearranging his private parts made me sick, uncomfortable, intimidated, and humiliated. Do I have an harassment case?

You MIGHT have a claim with regards to his touching his privates in front of you. It will be a stronger claim if you make a formal complaint to HR first.

The rest is unpleasant but not illegal.
