Harassment and Blacklisting

This situation sounds very similar to mine. I have and am currently being blackballed by a previous employer and I would like to know what I can do concerning it. It has caused issues and problems for me both professionally and personally. I have not been able to work in my profession for about almost two years. They will not admit to this but from feedback from working on small jobs since that time I have come to the conclusion that this information is originating from them. The information that has gotten back to me is appalling and NOT true. It has damaged my reputation and caused me much financial distress. I have done everything I could possibly think of in defending myself and counteracting this behavior but it still continues.

This has been going on for some time. I talked to the HR department, and efforts were madecto stop me from filing complaints. After going on interviews being asked out of the ordinary questions, sending out resumes with no response and experiencing weird behavior form co-workers and customers on the small jobs that I did get, it lead me to come to the conclusion that I was and am being blackballed. I contacted my former Manager at that time in hopes of getting some answers as to why this was going on but as suspected he denied any interference on his part. It is not even to the extent that at times that I put them on my resumes and job applications as a reference but somehow these potential jobs know of me before I am even given the opportunity to present myself. I feel that I am being forced out of my profession that I worked so hard to obtain, going to school etc. How do I stop this from continuing? How do I confront the company that is doing this because it is more personal than professional I am certain that this is happening?

Are you saying that someone is calling or otherwise contacting employers and telling them not to hire you even before you apply with them?

If your suspicions are indeed TRUE, a legal discussion forum will be of no value to you.

If you are being "blackballed", I suggest you prepare to dig deep for the cash needed to engage in the gigantic legal affray that must be waged to obtain the justice and financial compensation to right the wrongs that you've been subjected to for years.

Find three or four GREAT labor or employment attorneys and meet with each of them. Discuss your concerns, present your findings, see what remedies might be available to you.

Absent the necessary funds to hire such a legal champion, you'll have to keep plugging along as you have been doing, waiting for the hurricane of hate to subside.

If the poster is saying what I think he's saying, the odds that he is correct about what is happening is somewhat less than zero. If he will come back and confirm if that is indeed what he is saying, I will explain to him why.

I'm sure you know that of which you speak.

I'm TRYING VERY HARD, no, I'm STRUGGLING to provide the answers sought.

I've learned the answers I used to offer, well, you know.

Anyway, I'm STRUGGLING.

I'll keep TRYING and STRUGGLING.

I'm not the best at providing the people the things they demand.

I'll keep doing my inadequate best. LOL

How's your summer going?
Having fun?
Getting rest?
Great.
I'm enjoying the warm rays of our planet's sun.
The long hours of sunlight, are a sweet delight to my old bones.

It's quite too hot here for my tastes. I'm a Northern girl and don't do well in over-90 degree heat. But if you want to come visit me I'm sure you'll enjoy it.

We've got 102 today, in fact it's been 100 and above for the last week.
It's especially pleasant during the evening, night hours.
Took a walk around the ranch last night about midnight, love it.
It was about 78 then, and my Australian border collie, Aussie and I loved it.

Played 18 holes this morning, done by 10:00 AM.
I'm a southern boy, Texas born and bred, so I love heat and sun.
Spent some time in Iowa and Michigan for college and law school, then the army moved us around.

You're in MA, right?
My sister has a cottage on the Vineyard, spent two days up there one summer, nice time. Loved the seafood.
