Harrassing Neighbor!

we have been neighbors for 20 + years!Everytime we do something the neighbor doesnt like they nock on the door or call the police!No one on the block can stand them!My husband plays in a band,They started practicing in the basement 1 year ago.He plays the drums.They came to us and asked if we could limit the practice times,which used to be 6pm-930pm,we agreed and changed the time to 630-900pm,2 nights a week with the whole band.My husband still practices on his own during the week.When he practices she will come out of her house and pace the perimeter.My other neighbors said they dont mind and that they can barely here him.The basement is on the opposite side of the house of which they live.they use excuses like the elderly family member cant stand it!(the parent is actually def),They continue to leave notes in my mailbox and call the police!We have rights just like them!What can i do to stop this harrassing neighbor?my elderly neighbors agree that if they had to go to court they would to defend us!

It's not harassment.

Are the cops actually *responding* to the continued complaints? Usually they visit once or twice, realize there's nothing going on, and stop responding after that.

You can check your local noise bylaws, and if you're in compliance, ignore the notes, and ignore the person pacing around on her perimeter. She's free to do what she likes, as are you. If you want, you can tell her that you've graciously responded to her request to limit practice time, you're not going to do anything else for her, and she might as well stop leaving you messages. You're simply going to throw them out.
