Hello everyone, I just got fired after 13+ yrs. I have a medical condition protected under the ADA. My employer has been aware of it for some yrs now. My condition was more managable without accomodations initialy. As I became older with my condition gradually worsening and manpower decreasing as our work load increased, it became more difficult without accomodations. During discussions about my performance after these changes, I made it known to my employer accomodations that would greatly help me. These accomodations were very reasonable. A practice they have done for others without a disability. They made no attemp to do that or any other accomodations for me. Knowing my boss, I was fearful to push it. He stated to coworkers "Im tired of hearing about this age and (my condition) bs." And to another, "its in his best interest not to come to me adout his condition, he doesnt want to go this route with me." After this I kept quite and struggled, it was very difficult. Eventually the issue came up again. Cont.

He got upset and kicked me off site immediatly and said do not come back without a Dr's release saying you can work. I have never been on any kind of medical leave, he simply got upset. I came back with the note, and again we talked about those accomodations, he agreed and promised me the world. After this there began a trail of discriminatory actions toward me of which he got his hands slapped a couple times. Then finally he fired me for something supervision does and allows others to do to not stop production. There a several witnesses to this. It doesnt make my mistake right I understand. I did it unintentionally. The first time, with no past warnings or violation. Its not an immediate termination violation. Do I have any legitimate recouse? Thanks.
