I was married 5 years and separated from my husband. Shortly after my breakup (no divorce, not sure if I am still married or not) with my husband he took off with my two children and I was unable to find him until recently where I got an address and phone number. We both lived in California at the time but since then I have moved to Nevada. In the separation he was granted custody and I got visitation rights. It's been 10 years and I have no idea if I can still enforce visitation and no clue how to go about finding the court documents since I lost them years ago and not sure if i can do this from the state I live in.

Approach Dad gently and tread very carefully. And ask yourself.....do you really think that dropping back into the kids' lives after being absent so long is a good thing?

Really?

I never knew my biological father and I would love the chance to be able to contact him...I am hoping my kids would at least like to know what happened and give them the opportunity to reunite with me if they wanted.

Please post this at the other site.
