I rear ended a car after he passed me over double yellow lines and immediately braked excessively. The other driver was angry because I was going 5-10 under the limit (very stupid on my part). No one was injured and damage to both cars was minimal.
Instead of telling the police how it really happened, the other driver told them he was in front of me the whole time, that he never passed me, and he did not brake excessively.
Any advice?
