help - eye injury at work

Hi there iam a union rep and I have a grevince were a employee got something in there eye and our company has a policy that say that you must report all accidents as soon as they happen well this employee told the supervisor the next day of the injury to there eye can some one tell me I the word accident means the same as a injury I am thaking as to different meaning. Thank you

You need to consult your BA on how to proceed. The employee did not intentionally get something in their eye, hence it was an accidental injury.
