I reside in Hudson County (NJ) and I am the mom of a toddler baby girl. Throughout this last year my daughter's father has been stalking, harassing and threatening me. I have called the police numerous times and also filed reports with the Hudson county domestic violence unit. Every time we went before the judge our case was dismissed because the judge (the same judge every time) claimed that I was not harmed by my daughter's father's actions towards me. After my daughter's father finally used physical force on me the judge granted me a final restraining order and ordered him to pay a $50 fine and to take a batterers intervention class.

I only live within 1 or two minutes from my daughter's father. We live directly around the corner from each other and I am afraid to live in my home for fear that he is going to show up at my house and cause harm to either myself or our daughter.

I would like to know if there is any program or place that i can go, that will be able to assist me in finding help for me to relocate myself and my child so that we are no longer in such short proximity to my abuser

You can start by seeking out battered women's shelters or support groups nearby.

They can provide you some potential solutions.

Good luck and God bless.
