Shoplifting, Larceny, Robbery, Theft HELP! IM 17 YEARS AOLD NAD GOT CAUGHT SHOPLIFTING >.<

yesterday i was caught shoplifting for the first time at a store. the cops were involved and i had to go to the police station. they checked if it was my first thing on my record or not, and it was the first. now i have to go to court on a day thats 3 months before i turn 18. its also a misdemeanor because its my first time. the stuff i got caught with were worth $133.
what do u think will happen at court?
and will it clear off my record once im 18??
if anyone knows the answer please tell me, i know it was a big mistake, and i learned my lesson.
 
There is a chance you could be tried as adult. Furthermore its a commonly believed myth that your record is clean once you turn 18. Thats false. You need to talk to a Lawyer and ask about Diversion or similar programs to protect your record

r u serious? Is it a big chance that I could be tried as an adult?? Because I heard that $133 of shoplifting for the first time won't be a big deal..and will probably end with a fine and a year of probation..??
 
Well..I wouldn't say an expert..it's just what I hear from random people...and I really hope that it wouldn't really be a big deal at court and just end up with a fine and maybe probation...and for my record thing I hope It gets sealed once I'm 18...that would be awsome..so I won't have to worry when I apply for jobs inthe future.
 
Well..my court case is in 2 months from now...do I talk to my attourney before that date? And do you know what tha diversion thing is about? If I'm 17
