at a kmart by a "loss prevetion" employee, the father walked out behind the mother, she had the "stolen items" in her bag right when she walked out the undercover employee stopped her and had her pinned against the wall trying to stop her & told her to come inside the father came out and basicly got away from the situation he's pretty sure the guy didnt get the license plate numbers but later on his license plate number was reported for driving "erradically", which yes he did drive off and cut a couple people off. they got home safely though. now dcf is looking for the baby and want to see if he is malnourished and is abused, which he is defintely NOT! ..also they do not have any proof of the parents stealing it wasn't caught on camera and nobody saw...so what may happen ..also the father is on probation...and the mother is a minor [17] & lives w/ parents. thank you in advance for any help

edit: no loss prevention did not take the mother in ..the police wern't there yet....the police came the night it happened..and dcf came the next day..the father plans on saying it was a random girl he met that need help so he offered the ride & dropped her off at a bus stop afterwards.

& they are positve they do not have them on camera ; they were in an aisle with out video cameras! but they do have there faces from other store cameras ..the mother is frightened, she does not want her son taken away from her & the father..they know that the father may do some time due to violation of probation if he is charged or found guilty, i suppose..

Re: mom & dad caught shoplifting w/ baby

Much is this makes no sense. Was the Mom taken in by Loss Prevention? You do not know if they have video or not. Your assuming. The Police or DFS are "not" going to investigate over an eractic driving call. Ther eis more to this.

My guess is they got plates as he sped off avoiding arrest. That of Mom gave him up or gave info enough to track him. You need to tell the story with a little more detail for us to answer

Wow, what a jumbled mess to read. I"ll try my best with this.

They got the plate number. Even IF there isn't a camera the LP saw it, just as good.

As for the "no camera, just because you can't "see' a camera, doens't mean it isn't there.

DCF SHOULD take the kid as the partents are stupid enough to steal with the baby, dad driving erratically, etc. The kid should go to a family who won't screw up its life and raise it right.

She should also leave his worthless butt since he skipped out on her instead of being a MAN and taking his punishment for his role in the theft instead of leaving the mother of his child holding the bag.
