My father passed away 2 years ago and Us 3 kids were really upset. We recently found out that he had a $100,000 life insurence policy. After calling the insurence company we found out that his girlfriend at the time is the benificary. Well She only gave us kids $1000 out of all that money. I was wondering if there is any way to go about getting the money we deserve.. I have no idea where to start on this but us kids really feel like we were ripped off. And considering it was an auto accident wouldnt that make the policy double? We dont want this woman tyo get away with all our dads money..We deserve more then what we got.. I would appreciate any advice anyone has on this matter..Thanks

Pa wanted the girlfriend to have the dough.

It was nice of her to share a little bit with you.

i dont think it went down that way..My dad was the type of person that he would've wanted us kids to have more then what wee got.... i thnk she just decided to be a little bit greedy...but hey what do i know im only his daughtor

Pa left it in writing (the beneficiary designation on the insurance policy) where he wanted the money to go.

Do you have anything in writing saying otherwise?

Pa is the one who made the decision.

Dad is free to name anyone he wants as his beneficiary. Why is the girlfriend obligated to give you any money? Legally, neither Dad or girlfriend owe you anything. If Dad was behind on child support then mom is owed the money, not you.
