My nephew just got a used car Saturday and on his way home the check engin light came on. He took the car to pep boys today and they said that the car has 3 major issues and he should return the car. Is this possible?

Probably not - did he have a contract or a warranty -- they will have to be read.

Generally when you buy a used car it is buyer beware. You buy it as is & no warranty. He should have had the vehicle checked out before buying it.

He might be able to get it fixed if it qualifies.
