I was fired back on August 21 of last year because they said I wasn't using the time clock correctly. EDD called my employer to do an interview and they didn't answer the phone so EDD made the decision to deny me for misconduct. I appealed the case and we had an conference call with my employer and an EDD judge my ex-boss told them he did not want to deny me but the judge said it was up to her, he also said that I was technically fired but they had no evidence that I was doing anything wrong, because my supervisor at that time signed and approved all my time cards. My question is with this evidence could they still deny even though they had no evidence for firing me??? I do believe I was let go because I had a very high salary and the company is not doing very well, they just let go 4 other employees at a higher pay rate for no reason.

If the employer made comments like thant then there is no good reason for why they should deny you. Utilize the appeals process as best you can.
