In 2008 i signed over custody of my son over to his putative father. I at the time was very unstable and had a drug addiction and i knew that my son deserved better. Now for the past year the fayher has divorce, lost his home,.become very unstable and has had a open case with dfcs ( for the past year omgoing) for his unstability!!! Dfcs just recently placed my son in a safety resource home with the father sister amd her female partner and the when the dfcs worker finally called me she had me believe that i signed over rightz and i was nothing more than someone who just walked in off the street. Well the aunt, her female partner and the dfcs worker have tried to get me to sign over gaurdianship to them ( i refused!!) I want to know as his biological mother why wasnt i called.to come.get him? The father has been in jail 3 times in the last month and is currently serving 60 days for violation of probation for 8 counts of animal cruelty. Money is tight around here ( the bills get paid and thats about it) i need HELP!! And yesy life is more than together now. Ive been in the same home for over 4 years now got a diploma for mexical assisting and with the same guy engaged for the pazt 4 yrs.

When you say you"signed over custody", did you sign a piece of paper, or go through the court system?

It matters.

Also, did you agree to pay child support?
Have you been paying child support?

You use "putative" father. Did he do a DNA test?
Was the child born in GA?
In what state did you allegedly transact this assugnation of custody?

Your answers determine my answer (or our answer). Help us, inform you.

I signed a piece of paper through dfcs.the signatures are not noterized but signed by a judge which i wasnt present for) no child support agreement was done and this was all done in the state of georgia. He was in born in ga

You need to answer AJ's questions as they matter towards your reply. However it sound sas though you allowed Dad custody but you retained your rights as Mother. You really need to look at the document you signed and show it to an Attorney

OP, it appears you ONLY signed over custody to dad.
You also don't appear to have a support agreement.
What you call needs (that you supply him), a court would only consider those to be gifts.
I don't know what you're trying to accomplish.
But, it is far too complicated to accomplish here.
I suggest you immediately contact an attorney and have him or her review your documents and discuss your issues with him or her.
There isn't too much more we can do for you.
You also don't want any of your personal business on the internet.
