You could have done that easily back in 1860, 1880, etc.., in fact, many did. They'd leave Alabama, head to Missouri, get into some trouble, head west and end up in somewhere in Wyoming. His name was James Carpenter in Alabama, it just became John Beckworth in Wyoming. No worries, life was good.

Not today, my friend, not today. Your name is already in the FBI's computer system, NCIC. If you ever get stopped, a cop runs your name, BINGO, they gotcha. Your social security number will trip you up when you use it to apply for credit or get a job.

Now, it isn't instant, but eventually they'll get to you. They are seeking the real bad guys, but if they stumble across you, you'll be arrested and TN will be contacted.

Then the fun begins. You might stay locked up for two or three weeks, even three or more months. If TN decides NOT to pursue extradition, WV will let you go. But, every time they encounter you, they get that warrant hit, back in the hoosegow you COULD go, until TN says let him go.

Normally TN (or any state) will notate the warrant and say something like, will not extradite except MS and GA, let's say.

Your best bet is to try to fix this, because it'll haunt you forever.

Your drivers license expires, you can't get another one.
It'll be hard to cash checks, and getting on an airplane might be impossible.

If you return to TN, one way or anoither, you'll likely get revoked, do some jail or prison time, and the diversion deal is done.

Don't make it worse, they could add UFAP charges,

You do want to take care of this - a warrant can follow you the rest of your life.
