The other day I was backing out of my parking space and as I was stopping to put the care into 1st and drive off, I slid on a patch of ice right into someones front bumper parked reverse behind me. Someone saw and I got out of the car to check the damage, which was minimal, only paint damage. I asked the lady if it was her car, she said no. I got back into my car and was scared despite the fact that the damage was minimal, then made the stupid mistake of driving off.

I was ticketed the next day at my house for Careless Driving (4pts), Left scene after striking an unattended vehicle (12pts), left the scene after damaging another vehicle (12pts), and failure to notify police of the accident (12pts). 40 points in total, note I'm 18 this is my first offense of any kind. My record was clean until now.

My questions are...
Should I get a lawyer?
Being my first offense, w/o a lawyer how much would they drop it if I plea and be honest and straight-forward?
How much would a lawyer help me in this case?
About how much do you think this will cost me financially?
Am I likely to have my license revoked?
Would I be eligible to get a restricted license for work?

Thank you to anyone and everyone that can help me.

This isn't a big deal.
The charges can be significantly reduced.
Show up to court, offer to pay damages, and if the judge will let you, ask for traffic school. Your insurance rates should be your biggest concern. You will have a moving violation on your record, but not to the severity as you have listed here.
